And then told me that I'm morbid! (I am. Where do you think he gets it from?)

Last Icon Dump before December!

  • Nov. 28th, 2009 at 12:45 PM
Unofficial Rules:
1) I get these from a friend that does icon dumps. She gave me permission to skim for the weird ones and post them here.
2) Neither she nor I knows who made them, they're not all from livejournal.
3) Insanejournal, Deajournal, and probably Greatestjournal when it was still around.
4) Take whatever you want, don't need to credit if you don't know who it is.
5) If you made one of these mention in comments for whoever may be grabbing them to credit.
6) If you wanna credit without knowing who made them, "[info]weirdfolks' icon dump" is cool by me.
7) To see previous icon dumps, just click the tag on this post.

Chores n' stuff

  • Nov. 28th, 2009 at 10:08 AM
Yesterday was a busy day of vacuuming, cleaning of the living room and some other smaller chores in there as well, and what that entailed was moving the couches, chairs etc to get behind/under them and spot cleaned the carpet. Mom's getting her whole house done as a surprise birthday present later in Dec. These are the cleaning that comes when a tree is about to be put up.

As blogged last night, we had roasted beast for dinner. So far this morning not much yet but I'm about to tackle the two top shelves in the kitchen and have a load of laundry in, darks so I'll have a clean pair of jeans to wear later when we go out.

And since Thanksgiving is over, I now have Christmas music going (not traditional stuff yet) and have my A Rockin' Christmas CD I made 4 years ago which includes Brenda Lee, John Lennen, The Royal Guardsmen (Snoopy's Christmas, It Kinda Feels Like Christmas) and Bing Crosby amongst others.

Today will be getting her tree up and plugged in, the lights on the Rhodadendron out front and perhaps a pic of her and the 2 dogs.

I did give my best friend a quick jingle to wish him a belated happy Thanksgiving and discovered that he'd changed carriers and phone # for cellular service so that's why the text message didn't go through as I called them at home.

Anyway, once we get some stuff done here it's out for errands and fun.

So, let the holidays begin!

Sey huh?

A LJ person who's journal I enjoy and who's photo-work I admire has banned me from commenting? WTF? Me? What, was I too boring? Not cute enough? WTF?

Every so often

  • Nov. 28th, 2009 at 9:23 AM
Every so often I dig my head outta my butt and ask myself if my life is going where I want it to.

My answer of the now is NO. Not that it's so bad... I just don't feel like an adult. I was at a Thanksgiving dinner and horrified to learn that I was the OLDEST person in the room. It's one thing to feel young at heart, but another thing entirely to feel immature... where's the house, the spouse, the savings account?

I'm just not sure where I'm going from here.

Okay, seems that posts this way are defaulted to send comments to the phone. Working around that, its glitchy as all get out.

Keyboard: Okay, it defaults comments for sure to the phone. I can only stop them on a case to case basis, so if I'm not near an online connection I'm screwed. Only because, even though I have a permanent account, I'm limited to 50 received comments...

...well, 49 now. Sent a menu help request and that counted against me.

le sigh...

Doing this via texting.

Added normally:
Info: http://www.livejournal.com/manage/sms/textcommands.bml

Limited range of what I can do. Subject line, yes. Content to 160 characters, or thereabouts, yes. Can't select an icon or pick a mood.

Still iffy about where comments go.
