I just watched a "Carpenter's" special on PBS and, I have to say, Karen Carpenter had positively one of the greatest voices ever, incomparable to anyone. Her voice was like an angel's, perfect in every way. I own quite a bit of music and ever once in a while, I pull out The Carpenter's and listen to it in my own world, and sometimes I cry because the music itself is just so beautiful and so many of their songs foresaw Karen's death, it's almost eerie. I wonder where she would be now if she was still alive. Would they still be recording & touring? What a bloody shame for the world to have lost such a voice. It makes me sad.
